La Tobiana was born in 1996 as a family business on the initiative of Gustavo Adolfo Reyes Gaitán, to sweeten the life of Colombian homes, extolling one of the oldest traditions such as the production of panela and as a tribute to his native village Tobia, Cundinamarca.

Because panela is a product of first necessity for the family basket of Colombians, added to the production capacity of the region, this brand was created with the initiative of finding channels to commercialize the product in large stores, and to date we have as a provider of Own Brand for Almacenes Exito SA, competing in the national market with products of excellent quality and presentation, which have been positioned in many Colombian homes generating well-being and confidence to customers, as well as benefits to the company and the region.

Since 2016 we have entered into a process of transition to organic production of Panela La Tobiana, so today several of our references already have certification and seal under the national regulations of the Ministry of Agriculture. Through this certification we guarantee our consumers a product of excellent quality, sweetly natural and made by the hands of the farmers of our region.
